Okay...so doing some mods when I get all my parts...was about to get a lightning cable input to replace the CD changer in the back of the radio, but instead opted for a 3.5mm Jack and a usb port the will be flush (female inputs) that will be flush mounted in the middle button that is blank in the non-navi RL's. Think this is gonna be big pimpin. Im a rook at this website so can't post the link but I will after my 15 days.

Not much to it....they even have a Bluetooth adapter, which IMO is just a phase...at least for listening to music. 3.5mm jack is the best hands down, no comparision....c'mon people you have a alpine head with bose speakers! get this for the hook up. Not very many mods to go through just need to be careful on the disassembly.

But, I don't plan on the 97 to die any time soon...might outlive this "lightning fad"...anyways here is the pic of the iphone lightning cable hook up that connects and replaces the 6 disc changer.
