The screen on my 97 RL has gone dark, if the sun shines on it I can see the screen. It also beeps when I touch it, so the screen works. Is this an expensive problem? What can I do to correct this? Please Help.

Your problem is that the inverter on the back side of the screen went out. It is almost impossible to fix it and costy too. You need to search on eBay to buy an used one to replace yours. It is over $1,000.00 at the stealership.
