97 Acura RL - dashboard lights out
I am considering buying a 97 Acura RL for my youngest daughter. Last year I purchased a 97 Acura TL for my eldest daughter and she loves it.
My concern is that the 97 RL's dashboard lights are out. I suspect this might be a fuse (which I will check when I go test drive it). However, if it is not the fuse I am concerned of how much $$ it might take to get it fixed. Any input on this would be much appreciated.

Besides a fuse the no dashboard lights could be something as simple as the instrument panel brightness dial on the dashboard (the the right of the change tray) is turned all the way down too.

Or it could be a few burt out bulbs(considering its a 97). I had a few when i got the car....and surprisingly a wack on the dashboard fixed one...but then i just replaced them all. There is a write up on her on how to take it out and such. Its not too difficult.

gauges or odometer lights are out? if the odometer display is out its no a bulb its the printed circuit board. best thing to do would be to buy a used cluster on ebay for $40 and just swap it out. if you try changing bulbs, other bulbs will be out after you put it back together
