3.5L Timing Belt Replacement
I tried to do a quick search on here for this topic, but I wasn't able to get anywhwere with it and it is probably my fault too. Anyway, does anyone have a step-by-step instruction sheet that goes through the process of doing this task? It is time to do one on mine and I'm contemplating trying it myself. I have worked on GM vehicles all my life, but I've never messed around too much with an import and I want to make sure I know what I'm getting into.
Any help would be appreciated.

I dont know if this would be of help but i remember someone saying to cut the old belt halfway off then sliding the new one on and cutting the rest of the old one on. take it for what it is. Id also replace your radiator hoses while your at it, and the thermostat. I have to do mine in about 30k miles. Not looking forward to it.

My brother and I just replace the timing belt last month. We didn't write a step by step (lazy) but it wasn't that hard at all. I think the most important step was to alight the timing belt pulleys to match the mark! You definitely need to remove the radiator to have some room to work at. The whole process took about 4hrs, a lots of things to remove. If you have some mechanic skills then do it, it'll save you a couple hundred dollar and make sure you have all the tools before you start! You need to download the PDF file, they show you how to remove the timing belts. BTW i bought my Gate timing belt kit from rockauto.co for $150. Good luck
Thank you for the information. Where do I find the pdf. file you are speaking of?
Thanks again!
