Ken, I've been reading your posts from days gone by concerning COSTAR's BlueStar. Does their new version of this product, BlueStar 2010, still provide the basis for incorporating it into the RL OnStar? Thanks.

jcurr, you lucky dog. I have done a lot of research on the electronic glitches of my 97, and it sounds like 04 was the perfected car before the full revamp in 05. Also in 04 Honda finally pulled its' head out and put in the great white/blue illumination in, no more vomit-yellow guages. I love the fact that in 2004 there was one package level - fully loaded! So if you walked into a dealer, the only question was "What color?". Enjoy that ride. No offense to the new RL owners, but I will always prefer the straight sedan lines of the 96-04 models.

2004 RL (Nav was standard that year). I forget the name of the color, but it's a cashmere type of color. Interior I think is called Parchment. Has just about 90K and is in dire need of 4 new tires, haha.

Yes we see it. And no the radio wont drop in. Its a different size and the wiring is different. Can you make it work if your good with wiring yes.

Hey, my name is Josh. I have (2) 3.5RLs.First one was a Black 1996 and it currently has 270,xxx miles on it. It was backed into and i did a front end conversion on it as well.I also recently picked up a Carbon Gray Pearl 2004 3.5RL with navigation and everything with 115,xxx on it. Best cars i've ever owned.

Pinion shaft replaced at 70,000, no other major issues. Right now the remote control for the outside mirrors doesn't work..not sure yet what that's all about... (it's not a fuse).

Check on E-bay for window motors. That is where I got mine.

 

Great forum. I have had my 1998 Acura RL for almost 12 years now. It has 289,000 miles and hoping to get to at least 300,000. Most dependeble car I have ever had or heard of. Great car.
