'04 tail lights on other first gen RL's?

'04 tail lights on other first gen RL's?
I will soon be purchasing a '00 RL, and I was doing a lil reading and some research online as far as basic bolt on's etc, one subject I have not come across is, will '04 tail lights fit an '00 RL? I have never seen a '04 in person so dont know if there were any minor changes made where this would be prevented, visually from the pics I can find no reason why they wouldnt work just wanted to ask to see if this is something that has been done before...
