Planning on running this offset will it work?

Has anyone tried or actually knows if this would work.

2008 rdx stock suspension
FRONT 18x8.75 +36 or +33
REAR 18x8.75 +22 or +20

All with a 255/55/18 tire

Let me know what you think.

After some thinking. And after some advice. Think I'm going to run 18x10 +25 square. With 255/55/18 yoko. Have tires all ready. I'll get some rims this week.

Anyone seen/have pics of this type set up?

I think im talking to myself here... Somebody might be interested. Heres an update.
Doing this on the cheap. With decent equipment. Picked up some tires 255/55/18 yoko advan sports for $132. I thought it was a great deal, i have these tire on my 350z and love them.... so thought why not again. And for the price.

Also went on Craigslist and did some shopping for specifically 18x10 +25 5x114.3 rims
And came across XXR 521 and people were asking way to much for them when you probably buy new for $25 more.

Then stumbled across Another good deal. Brand new rims in the exact specs I wanted.
The PHAT FUX DTF
No joke that's the name. Anyway picked them up for $83 each

The only problem with the rims is its a 4 spoke not so In love and with budget on mind! I think I'll be more than OK with the look.

I traded an xterra in for this rdx So maybe I have a thing for 4 spoke rims?
I should have them mounted on Wednesday maybe Thurs. Will post pics!
Hope they fit or it looks like I'll be getting some fenders rolled.

Just curious, why did you go wider without reducing the sidewall profile? Usually people will try to keep the overall circumference as close to stock as possible. A 255/50 would have been less than 1% off, but a 255/55 is closer to 3%. If you're the kind of guy that always does 55 in a 45, be careful because now you'll be more than 10 over.

Hey!!! Thanks for the question!
Ok so here's my thinking... I like the full wheel well look and considering this thing is more of a car than SUV I really wanted to push the bigger tires for the SUV look and have wider rims for a great stance.

The speedo being off never bothered me much. not so much of a speeder

I do get a kick out of posting what fits and pushing the limits with tires and rims.

here's my 350Z 20x9 255/35/20 +30 20x10 265/35/20 +25
people said they would never fit. I did Roll the rear fenders. fronts are stock.

Ok so they fit...no doubt about it. 255/55/18 on 10 inch rim with +25 offset. Works no rubbing. Lots of room could have pushed it even farther. Now I'm not super excited about the looks kids looks like winter steel rims. But there on there I did it on the cheap. Maybe .....just maybe I'll grow to love em. Here's some pics. I'll take a better one when it's not raining out.

Not too bad...kind of look like truck wheels. Gives a more rugged look to the RDX.

Hello,

Can you show pictures of the car on the ground. I'm looking at fitting 265/45/18 tires on 18 x 9.5 +23 rims. Any issues at all with rubbing anywhere or interference anywhere?

Thanks

Not the best pics but the weather is purely crap the last little wile. But I do have some for you. Better pics with better weather.

And to answer your question about your setup. They will for sure fit with out rubbing.
Here is a overlay, my setup vs yours.

New to the Acura family. Does anyone know if the same set up would work for a 2020 RDX? It seems like it should but I don’t want to assume. Searched but couldn’t find the info. Thanks!

Sorry I'm of no help. Sold my RDX a couple of years ago so I haven't looked into any wheel info on the RDX for while. Good luck my friend.

It’s ok, thank you for replying. I know the thread is several years old and I wasn’t sure if anyone would even post! I know my rims would fit the last gen RDX but just wasn’t sure if that would change for the new models in 19/20.
