After weeks of internet shopping, I finally decided on TSW Brookland rims in 18" x 8", +43, with my Cooper Zeon XST-a in 255/55-18. The TSWs have a machined and silver finish.
No rubbing, no trimming or anything required. The Coopers are M+S rated, and also have phenomenal dry handling. Had this set up on for about 3-4 months, very happy with them. Rims only weigh 24 lbs, tires 36 lbs (verified both with manufacturers), so my total weight is right at, or just a little below stock, so no unsprung weight added. ....
.....and yes, I have purple valve caps...![Roll Eyes](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
ALSO added OEM roof rack and side moldings.

looks good.. why did you go to a 55 instead of staying with a 50??

#412
I am sure you got that cushion now.. 255 55 is a meaty tire =)

For those running 20 x 10 +40 how much space is there between the wheel lip and the rear control arm? I did a test fit of the TSW Nurburgring 20 X 10 and there was only 1/4" space at best. With rubber, I'm worried they will rub.
#414
go to page 8 and post #286 in this thread.. guy was running 20x10.5 in the rear and 20x10 up front he posted a video as well about it if you scroll down
#415
Thanks blue for the quick response. Ken's setup was my inspiration. Unfortunately he's running 10.5 with smaller offset (+25) in the rear so not apples to apples. Hoping RDXRated or mstolars can fill me in on theirs.
If a 275 would mount perfectly flush with no sidewall protusion there would be about 3/8" clearance, so there's little to no wiggle room on this one. And spacers worry me a bit, but that may be the only option.

you would probably want a +32 offset just to get in that happy medium place.. +40 is going to stick in too much with a wide tire IMO
#417
Yeah +32 would be just right. The best I can find is a +20 which would push that flush stance toward a power-wheels-barbie-jeep...not quite what I'm going for.
If I don't hear back soon I'll get one mounted with rubber and post the outcome.
kumquats FTW

I took a chance and went with the 20 x 10 setup. Glad I did.

2008 RDX Tech on stock suspension
TSW Nurburgring 20 x 10 +40 (Gunmetal w/ Machined Face)
Toyo Proxes ST II 275/40R20
Clearance on all four corners, no rub. 1/4 " gap on the rear control arm about the same on the towers. Setup is as flush as it can get.
The wheels I got off Amazon for $330 a piece. They required hub rings which the install shop threw in no charge. They also painted the calipers and hubs black at no charge.
Final word of advice: if you're not into DIY, use a shop that specializes in aftermarket wheels not a regular tire and battery place.

looks good.. i have the same color was thinking the same wheel style.. by chance do you have a full side shot of it? want to see the full profile =) are you stock height or lowered?

Not yet...am in NYC for the week but will grab some when I get back. In the meantime I have a few other perspectives.
Stock suspension but the 40 series rubber fills in really well and maintains some sense of maturity, IMO. The eibach springs would really push the limits, and with this size setup the coilovers would be way too low. If I could tighten up the ride without it looking stupid I would, but I think it looks just right as is as far as ride height goes. Front spoiler and splash guards would be next steps.
I have to admit, I didn't think the 20 x 10 setup would work, and neither did two shops I visited. But the guys that risked it before me were dead on. Thanks fellas.

Drifting
I currently have the 275 all around with 20x10 in front and 20x10.5 in the rear. For me, the 20x10.5 in the rear is just aggressive, mean, stunning. I contacted suspension manufactures about their coilovers (BC, Megan, etc.) to see if their suspension could retain stock height; however, they said no. I'm fine with this, I'll just replace my stock shocks and see about replacing my rear trailing arm bushing with some prothane inserts. I can't see pulling off this stance (photo below) with it dropped.

not an SUV ...a Big Hatch
![2 Cents](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/2cents.gif)
you'll be taller than stock with that rubber, and will be a different outside diameter in comparison to your spare. Any flats will require a tow, or swapping the spare to the front axle as it has an open differential vs putting it on the rear ever. ...and even then, prob not too good to be missized up front either.
on a 9" wheel, +30 will set the hoop out 10 more mm than mine. That's less than 1/2 inch, as 1 inch = 2.54cm/25.4mm. That's still less than a 20x10 +40, which many people run. not sure if the extra height would cause issues if you're lowered.

2) The only way to fit them would be using adapters.

Thanks for the input bighatch! Whats the specs on your wheels by a chance? I was flipping thru the pages and must of passed it if you posted them before. Your setup looks sweet man, thumbs uppp
