Need 10 people for RDX coil-over development
First off I am a liaison for this endeavor. I have spoke with three companies this past week. Tein USA needs 50 (lots of factors involved) people to start coilover: 1 merchant willing to make a bulk special purchase + R&D.
These will be VEHICLE SPECIFIC for the RDX
Even though TEIN is a long shot, I'm still the liaison for that as well. BTW once R&D is done problem lies with getting an AUTHORIZED TEIN DEALER to take the leap of faith to buy 50 RDX specific kits. Ouch, right? An authorized dealer i spoke with today would have a problem pony'ing up the money to purchase the 50 kits in this economy. We have all heard this story before.
KSport needs 10 people willing to buy right away. R&D will be done and produced as demanded, which will be awesome for future owners. KSport's approach will ease the burden of bulk purchases now and henceforth for individual retailers. I can vouch for quality, I have a set of pros on my prelude.
once I get ten on the list You will be contacted by them
Skunk needs an unbelieveable "3x TEIN's requirements" 150 people.. they are out of the RDX market till some form of standalone k23a1 management comes along; flashPro,kpro.
http://www.ksportusa.com/asp/coilove...roduct_id=cd01
If you have questions PM me untill these are developed, do not post anything except interest in buying. Exact price (possibly in the $1400 range) will be after these are developed.

Okay got a bit of attractive news for the sake of the forum and thread, it needs to be shared.
I have found a dealer that will go in on the deal and they will take your payment/deposit. Yea me! I'd like to add, now due to the inquisitive factor ingrained into all of us, KSport would appreciate that you would contact the liaison in this matter. It's my fault so I take the blame. I will be the organizer/liaison taking names and reducing the call load or email load.
The reason for the list: is an organized visual cue as to where we are at in this process. You like updates well this is it.
Really: who asked KSport if coilovers add horse power?
More updates to follow- thx friends!

We just need another couple of owners to help us get this product going. We will be trailblazers for future RDX owners who will want this for their ride. Plus you'll get the best of both worlds with a streetable product that will improve handling and ride hight.

^ Please help us out and add your name to the list. Out of all the things you can do to your RDX coil-overs offer the best bang for the buck. And... will not throw codes and have you covering the flashing mid on your dash with black tape (don't laugh, I've seen it done).

Eventually this will be a popular option. The A-spec struts on the RDX would probably last you a good 5 years before you really started to see issues. However most people would not notice that the A-spec strut/shock has lost the taughtness it had when it was new. You could just replace the unit for $55ea (without labor), or improve the entire system for a little more.
The biggest issue for R&D would be on the rear set-up with the separate spring and shock assembly. But it looks like there is plently of room, and if you can do it on a Mazda you can make it work on the RDX. Otherwise, see if bluecarbonfiber will sell you his Eibachs for $1000.

It's a part that doesn't exist yet, no way to give you a price, but here's a nice nice thing. It'll be half down up front then the other half after development. Most likely the cost won't be much different than a crv's. Same perches just different dampening rates and spring rates.
For those wondering: I am not collecting the money for this venture, a rather large high performance that deals in aftermarket lambo, porcshe, ferrari, Nissan, Honda, etc. They'll take payments not me.

Now that my Coil-over$$ have been converted to island vacation money I will not be able to do this until the fall. However, I'm surprised we haven't progressed on this list???

I just double checked the parts numbers to see if they are the same. They are the same for '07 to 2011, so I'd say that it'd fit.

I'm elsewhere right now. Sorry.
This kit will replace front and rear.
Simply put. Front is coil over, and the rear is multi link and coil is not over the dampener. The rear will be adjustable as well.
I had the thought that there would be a million people jumping at this, guess not. ^_^ Whatever... I don't know how long it will take for me to make it back out to Cali.
