DWS back in stock
I've been waiting for months for the DWS and was about to give in and get the Yoko's but the day of ordering my local shop told me they have the DWS. Put these on Feb 29th right before the snow storm and drove about 180 miles and so far I love them. I can now drive with confidence and only a hint of hydroplaning in big puddles. I think I might have a bit too much air in them, 34psi cold. I think I will lower them down to 32psi. So far so good. The stock Mich's were DONE but lasted me 47K.

I put a set of DWS on my RDX late August in anticipation of winter. Sadly winter never came this year, at least not in southeast CT. With that said, they're still awesome in dry and wet, hence the DW of DWS, and ride is comfort is much better than OEM Michs.
PS. Keep the PSI close to the recommended 32 cold for the DWS. I played around with the higher PSI initially and not needed at all. Best ride and everyday performance will be achieved at 32 PSI cold.

I went with the Conti DWS because of the cheaper price, longer tread wear, excellent dry/wet/snow traction, cool tread design, no squealing on tight turns like the OEM tires, very quiet compared to OEM, and I can rotate front/back & left/right for even longer treadlife.
I like the Conti DWS so much; I have these tires on both my RDX and TSX. I would only go with new OEM tires if someone gave them to me for free.

it's a car-drive it
Wow-not much thread on those tires. When I replaced the OEM Michelin tires at 73,000+ miles they all measured 4/32. Could have waited but we were going on a cross country roadtrip. We replaced them with Yokohama Avid 4vs tires that did an exellent job during a snowstorm in Montana. Now have 63,000+ miles on the Yoko's. I get the tires rotated/balanced every 6,000 miles which I think helps extend the tire life. I also check the tire pressure on a regular basis.

Taking the bus because you really want a specific set of tires=dedication.
Putting yourself and others in danger by driving on bald tires through the winter months because you were waitng for a specific tire=stupidity.
Tires are the single most important safety feature on your vehicle. They are the only thing between you and the cold hard pavement. VSA, ABS, SH-AWD all rely on a good set of tires.
You drove about 10-15k too far on those Michelins.
