Wiper issue
Hi Guys,
My 2009 RDX wiper went dead while I was driving in city during heavy rain
After I got off from work, raining so switch on the wiper as usual and it work normally at the beginning. However after I drove it for like 10 minutes on the road, the front windshield started to build up rains while I was driving and I barely see what was in front of me at all (and I'm the the left lane with tons of cars during peak hour). Tried to switch the wiper stalk to a higher speed while keep an eye on the front, nothing work. The wiper was completely stop at the rest position. I was like OMG
.
Pulled on the side, turn off the car completely and turn it on again then it works. However after another 5 minutes of driving, it went dead again which frustrated me a lot. Then I have to sit and wait till the rain became lighter and continue my journey home. In the meantime, I tried to pull off the wiper fuse from the fuse compartment underneath the steering column and put it back. It couldn't fix the issue as well after testing it for awhile.
End up it took me 2 hrs to get back home
while normally took me around 30 mins.
Brought in to acura to take a look on the following morning, light rain. Again the wiper stopped working after it work for awhile at the beginning, took some video to proof to acura service department during that time. Went to the dealer and purposely didn't turn off my car so they can see the wiper wasn't working no matter what I do on the wiper stalk. After sitting there for couple hours, they said they couldn't see the issue and cannot see which part fail if it doesn't stop working and was suggest to drive back home and see if it happened again. Of cause I won't, cause it's super danger to drive back without wiper. So show them the video and told them no way I could drive back home in that situation. Therefore they go back and try to see if that problem came up again if they let if run for awhile.
Finally the problem came up, they said they need to replace the wiper stalk and the battery and the part won't come in until the next day. Got an ILX as a courtesy car at the moment, gonna pick up my car later in today. Hopefully it work fine after they replace the parts.

Happened to my fiancé today. Awaiting the results.
Never happened before, but she said it stopped working halfway up the windshield. Turned the car off, later it worked but at only one speed, going from fast to intermittent didn't change the speed.
Hoping something is figured out.
