Love my RDX lots of highway driving (90k miles now). Suddenly last night while doing 70mph on the highway the VSA system and SW-AWD lights come on and there is no acceleration. The turbo gauge also won't move. I limped home at 50mph and the engine has a whirring noise as well. Clearly the car needs servicing ASAP.

I was going to bring it to a local friend but I'm thinking since I bought it certified per-owned from an Acura dealer it might be power train warrantied to 100k miles? Good idea to start at an Acura dealer? I figure if it costs too much I could always bring it to my guy.

Any suggestions as to what could be wrong with my car? The tachometer does move but the turbo gauge doesn't. Car has a very hard time accelerating and climbing hills. Thanks.

 

I had my i-VTEC solenoid fail on my 08 RDX with about 60,000 miles on the ODO. It was covered 100% with the powertrain warranty. The dash was displaying the similar warning signal and I also had the loss of power. I had just enough to limp to the dealership for repair.

 

I'm almost at 70K, I hope this doesnt happen to me.
