VSA/Traction Control

Last night on my commute home I was driving on the new river called I-95 in South Florida. I think the Traction Control came on but the orange VSA light didn't flash on the dash board. The car felt as if it had no power when accelerating at about 50 MPH. At first I thought the car was stalling. I feel the roads weren't that slippery and maybe the traction control was pre-mature or overkill. However it was raining really hard.

Is this normal? I have never experienced this and I have almost 11,000 miles.

How does RDX handle on icy or snow covered roads in the north?

I turned off the VSA and didn't notice it again until I turned it back on. I think if this is normal it defeats the purpose of the VSA.

There should be no slipping at 50mph in the wet - but maybe you hydroplaned it it just cut power.

Keep an eye on it. I've had a similar issue a couple times, but then it seems to dissapear. Mine was more at low speed accelerating and it would hesitate right before the 1-2 shift, then clunk into second.
