Hey everyone, new guy here

My friends turbo in his 2008 acura RDX took a dump recently. My take is the seals finally gave up. He hasnt been the nicest to the vehicle, not changing the oil like he should in what not, which as we know plays a huge role!
Anyways, the exhaust is pouring white smoke like crazy even at idle. He had the dealership diagnose it, and wanted 4700 to fix it. He is 2k over his warranty, but because he hasnt been taking very good care of the vehicle theres little chance that acura will cut him a break.
Were actually out on the market to find a new turbo for the vehicle. Im pretty confident I can swap it out, but i having a heck of a time finding a replacement turbo for the car. If anyone has any info whatsoever please feel free to chime in. Any info I may not know about changing the turbo, or information on locating one would be great and much appreciated. pull the turbo and take to a big rigs turbo shop they have all the tools the connections and the know how to fix the turbo. but unless he changes his ways. IE change the oil and let turbo properly cool, it will all be pointless

 

Most def. Ive already talked it over with them, They understand the situation.
Anything else I should be aware of? Turbo uninstall pretty straight forward?
