2008 rdx with 207k miles with original turbo, I was driving about 80 mph on the highway and the car was doing fine, I got off the highway to merge onto a new road and gave it about 50% throttle. All of a sudden my car started making a weird whining noise and sounded like something was rattling or rubbing against something. The turbo gauge would no longer go up and the car would not go above 40 mph before making the whining noise. I didn’t see any major smoke coming out the exhaust, it sounds fine when it turns on. Did I blow the turbo or could this be a boost leak somewhere?
