I've noticed a fairly loud hissing sound in the cabin with the windows up at about mid-boost from the turbo. It sounds similar to air rushing out of a hose. This only happens at mid-boost and dissapears at full boost. It seems more pronounced in warmer humid weather. I went to the dealer to drive thier tester again and noticed that it did the same although not as loud. I've never noticed this in any other turbo I've owned. Anyone else experience this in thier RDX?

I belive it's the turbo air intake when the 2-stage valve is passing thru it's mid-stroke.

 

Does the hiss bother you, I personaly love it i wish it was louder sometimes...?

 

Yes you should hear it with a short ram on there instead of the stock filter

 

It doesn't bother me anymore. I just thought it was unusual since I've owned turbos in the past and haven't experienced that sound with the others. It just took some getting use to. Overall, I'm pleased with the car.

 

What short ram intake is available and any noticable performance gains? Thanks
