TPMS System Failure
My dealer also filled my tires with nitrogen. I have since topped them off with air to bring cold PSI to about 35. Yes, it can easily vary -3 PSI or more the colder it gets. Better to have more PSI than not enough.
It just happened to me yesterday. It was sunny out and quite warm. I drove up a mountain area and shortly thereafter, the "!" went on and I clicked the info and it said TPMS failure. When looking to see the tire pressure display, there was nothing showing for any of the tires, as though they did not exist. I shut off the vehicle and started it again to see if this would somehow reset the computer system, but I still had the TPMS failure display.
Shortly after I drove down to normal altitude, the warning went off by itself and all was normal. Now we don't really have much for mountains around here although I was at a much higher altitude than usual. Its the only thing I can think of that would have set off the failure warning, especially after the fact that after I decended to the usual altitude, the warning was gone.
It hasn't happened since.

Ok, why the N2 in the tires? Is this only for up north?
