Strange Rattle

My 2009 RDX has developed an intermittent rattle that seems to be coming from the drivers door panel or the seat belt post. It seems to only rattle when the brakes are applied. Any suggestions?

sounds like you have the begining of what I am dealing with....

but, in order to further help you...the rattle that you describe is it a CREAK that is affected by gravity, or is it an actual rattle......i guess...is it affected by weight being shifted and you hear a creaking as a result or no.....it should be coming straight from the B-Pillar...

I sure appreciate your reply and I will need to get back with you on what you asked, as it was not doing it today, thank god! I don't think its a seam creak, tho, it sounds like a tick of a clock.

Most likely it's the passenger seatbelt buckle clicking against the plastic! If you have no passenger then do an experiment and fasten the passenger seabelt anyway (ignore on screen warnings) and drive and I bet the rattle is gone! Was in my case. Annoying yes, but, not a defect.

I sometimes find it sufficient to reverse the lay of the seatbelt against the B-pillar. If the metal buckle part is facing in then flip it out, or vice versa.
