Stains on stock 18" wheels
Stains on stock 18" wheels
Has anyone experienced drip-like stains on their stock painted wheels. It almost looks like brake dust that has run after a rain. Does not seem to come off with Eagle A2Z Tire and Wheel Cleaner and a soft-bristle brush.
What do you use to keep your wheels looking new? I will admit that I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to a clean car and this is driving me crazy!
Thanks in advance.

I'm right there with you on keeping clean. I haven't noticed any spots although my RDX is a second car that doesn't see a lot of rain. I also clayed and waxed the wheels and wipe them down often. Anybody else have spot troubles?
No spot trouble here. I wax mine everytime I wax the rest of the car. I use just car soap and water when I clean my each week, no cleaners. Those wheel cleaners are not a good idea, your wheels are painted and cleared just like the rest of the car, would you spray wheel cleaner on the body paint?
Believe it or not I actually found that Rain-X 2-in-1 Glass Cleaner with Repellnet actually works pretty good on the wheels to remove stains, minor break dust, etc. I moisten a cloth and gently wipe the dirt off the wheels. This is like a quick "touch-up" meathod I use in between a full detailing.
