Slow start, rough idle, then stalls
Slow start, rough idle, then stalls
Little history on the car... Was in a minor accident in November, however my airbags deployed. My adjuster left my map light on for 3 days while sitting in a lot. I just got the car back this week, and the repair shop advises that they had to jump it while it was there, and report a weak battery. I live in PA, where it's been bitterly cold this week. Single digits with below 0 wind chills. I just got it back on Wed and haven't had the opportunity to replace the battery yet. It has started (though slowly) and run fine each time i've drove since getting it back... Until this morning. This morning it started as usual when it's this cold, and was idling fine in my driveway. It ran about 10 minutes before leaving. I made it about 2 blocks, and the car shut off. It will restart, but it idles rough and then stalls. I went through this process about 15-20 times, hoping it would stay running so I could get it back home. 3-4 times after stalling, I would get a battery indicator on my dash screen, and it would read to check charging system. I know the RDX's have had battery issues. My current battery is a WalMart special from '08. It was in the car when I bought it last year. I've never had an issue like this and have it be a result of battery issues. Has anyone else, or does anyone have any suggestions?
Since the car was hit and body shop stuck their hands in it i would inspect the entire engine harness for any damage or anythin g that does not look right . I think it might have something to do with charging or bad fuel
