Rough idle just after startup

Our RDX has around 52k on it now. All proper maintenance has been done on time and we've always used Shell 93 octane gas. For the last few thousand miles the engine burbles, idles slow for a second, and then burbles more right after starting. It does this when cold and also when restarted after driving. I guess it really doesn't pose a problem as the care runs well on the road with plenty of power and responsiveness. The idle after starting just isn't the same as it used to be. Could I need new plugs? Any thoughts or suggestions?

By proper maintenance, I assume you mean dealer offered scheduled services, which adds unnecessary items like lube check etc...

At 52K miles, meaning 85000 km, spark plugs are typically good for 115000 km or 70K miles. But the rough idle can mean many things... oxygen sensor, timing sensor, etc...

Did you try to put in a bottle or two, of Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner? If that does not clear it up, probably check your dealer service dept.

No, I don't fall for dealer recommended services. I change all my own fluids and take the car to the dealer only for factory recommended service.
