RDX turbo issue - possibly from front end collision?

My dealer is telling me I have multiple leaks and a turbo issue with my RDX (emissions light coming on and off).
They are having an issue trying to diagnose it but I had a pretty decent front end collision 3 months ago where the radiator had to be completely replaced along with the air conditioning unit. Is it possible the engine could be damaged from the accident ?? Thanks

anything is possible.

Without actually seeing the vehicle, our guess is as good as your dealer's guess.

Im going to go ahead and guess that the front end collision bent and damaged critical components.

and yes, I'm a bona fide detective

I forgot to mention that the MPG's have suffered greatly since the accident so I was suspicious from the start

Considering the dealer has looked at and diagnosed the car and we haven't, I'd be inclined to say that their findings are better/more accurate than our guesses.

thank you - I know it is hard to diagnose without seeing the car. For the turbo to go bad with 51,000 miles on it has them scratching their heads.

because they are part replacers and not mechanics.

have them inspect the turbo itself.
it wont take a rocket scientist to see if the turbo itself went bad....

make sure there's no shaft play and the eyelet is in working condition. This is what fails on these and causes under boost and other boost faults.

OR

your issue could be totally un-related to the turbo itself.

we just dont know
