the antenna of my rdx got caught on a cable on the garage door when I'm backing up and it bent the screw holding on the antenna and lift up the base.i tried to push it back and apply 3m double sided tape but with no luck. acura dealer made $300 estimate to fix it.i was thinking of replacing it with sharks fin antenna. any guide to fix or replacing aftermarket antenna?

 

This exactly happened to me yesterday and I have the EXACT same problem you have. I bent the screw and the front of the base is not flush with car. What did wind up doing??? I just but a new mast and don't know what to do about it. The dealer said something about pulling down the inside liner in car and maybe there is a dent. Nobody seem to know if water would get in there what would happen. My xm and fm radio and bluetooth work fine. I have a 2007 and just want to get that base flush with car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS
