Q - what is this ELECTRICAL part behind the left FOG light?
My 2009 RDX was in an accident last Monday. The left front of the RDX hit the left rear (side) of another car, behind the rear wheel.
SO the RDX left fog light was destroyed, and the left corner of the bumper cover is loose.
And just behind where the fog light (was) is a small short black cylinder, clipped by two plastic *plugs* into a bracket, just under the main headlight.
What is that part? it is about 1.5 inches in diameter, and about 2 inches tall, plastic, black in color, has an electrical plug, and is held in a vertical position to a bracket.
I have looked at some, but not all, of the parts diagrams for an RDX. But there are like 100 diagrams, and I have no idea if this is part of the SRS system, or what.
The car cannot be driven, until I sort of secure this cylinder back in place, as well as the bumper cover, etc. I am concerned that if it is part of the SRS system, such as the roll-rate sensor, that driving the RDX may set off an air-bag.
The wiring to this cylinder is NOT yellow, as is normal for SRS wiring, and some of the nearby wiring is yellow. Similar cylinder on the right side of the vehicle, but I cannot clearly see it.
If I don't get a response, I will try to take and post a pic, but that is not convenient just now - thanks for any responses.

FOUND - KEYLESS BUZZER
OK, after a brute force search, I found that the device I asked about, is the keyless buzzer - which I have never heard, I assume because the settings are such that when locking/ unlocking the vehicle, there is no sound.
