Problem Light in the Turbo?
Problem Light in the Turbo?
Looking for help on this!
Purchased a 2008 Non Tech RDX in December. We now have 1500 miles on it, but ran into a problem this morning.
The car won't start and there's an unusual light in the Turbo dial that no one seems to know what it is!
Keep in mind, we live in Minnesota and it has been extremely cold here the past few days (below zero F). We keep the RDX in a semi-heated garage (35 degrees F at the coldest).
I'd be happy to show you a picture, but I'm getting this all second hand from wife who's at home and - well - slightly aggravated!
Anyone else have this issue?

BrrrrRrrRrrRrrr...
Sorry to hear that, all cars suffer in extreme weather cold or hot. It was about 7 degrees here in NY this morning and my RDX (kept outside) was a little slow to crank but no problems just let it warm up for a few minutes and I was off to work.
Well after some reading of the book....it doesnt seem like they mention any other light in that turbo meter other than the security system light. if the car wont start, and there is a light on, maybe the car is immobilized or something to that effect? id call the dealer
manual pages 61 thru 71

Security system - may be a possibility.
I also read in other threads how the battery may not exactly be 'cold-weather preferred' (higher cold cranking amps than normal).
Either way, Acura Roadside assistance towed from our house to the dealership and my wife now is driving an MDX as a loaner.
When I hear more, I'll post. And if anyone has other ideas or experiences, please post!

Another update -
Acura said it was a 'faulty battery' and have replaced it with a stronger one.
However, Acura insists the factory battery was just fine for the weather conditions.
The light -
The light was actually the traction control indicator (I didn't see it - I'm just going by what the technician told me). According to Acura, when there is low voltage, the computers will reset.
So the traction control system reset and was indicating it reset.
Whatever the case, we're good to go.
