Unhappy P0627 cel

Hello everyone,
First time I've gotten a CEL on my 2008 RDX. It's P0627, which displayed on the navi screen. I also confirmed it via an OBDII scanner. There are no other codes stored. Symptoms were:
* Engine cranking (so not battery issue) but engine wouldn't catch. It finally started after the 3rd try.
* Turned off, waited a bit, then tried again. Seems random when it would happen. Once more it did the same thing, where the engine just wouldn't quite "catch" and turn on.

This is wife's car so now I'm worried it'll happen and leave her stranded somewhere. This code relates to the fuel pump, which would make sense to me if gas isn't getting to the engine. Anyone have thoughts on what the problem could be, and what the repair cost would entail?

This is the first non-maintenance issue I've encountered on the RDX so it took me by surprise that after 10+ years something may finally be broken.

Update on this CEL: Today it's gone away. I suspect the code is still stored in there, and I'll check that soon. I've started the car probably a dozen times since the initial non-start yesterday and it hasn't duplicated the issue since.

The ECU has detected an open or short in the fuel pump relay circuit.
check fuel pump relay. then check wire from relay to ecu.

Did you ever figure out what was causing the P0627 code and difficulty starting? I am having the same issue with my 07 RDX.
