Not a question, just a comment

I have a 2010 Acura RDX that I purchased with approximately 35K miles in December 2013. I experienced turbo problems last year and had to purchase a new turbo (not cheap either)...it was not a used turbo. now it seems the turbo is going out on it once again. Fortunately, it is still under warranty but the whole ordeal and inconvenience has been a nightmare. I thought Acuras were supposed to be GOOD cars...how disappointing.

Is it the same issue both times? Maybe the failing turbo is the result of another problem maybe? I don't have enough expertise about turbo issue to know what else to look at. I have an 08 with +140,000 miles and I added Hondata reflash, ETS intercooler, Hondata heatshield gasket, and K/N drop-in filter and haven't had any issues for +7 years.

What he said...premature turbo failure is almost always caused by something else. Chances are what killed your first turbo wasn't addressed and killed the 2nd one as well.

Check the oil feed line to the turbo. It can be clogged or when the initial turbo was swapped out, they accidentally kinked the line.

No steady supply of oil to the turbo = failure.
