Noisy ride

I have a 2008 RDX w/n and I love the car.My complain is the noisy ride.I live in Oregon and the roads are very rough. Some time I can't even listen to the radio without blasting it.Is there a way to make the ride less noisy? Any ideas?I have the tires at 32psi.

I was also trying to lessen road noise, i did change my tire preasure from 32 to 30, the car is much quicker if its 32 psi and road noise is the same,

i also paid Ziebart for "sound barrier" and no improvement at all. Maybe its kind of normal if you have a wide tire and stiff suspension. Although its very quite on smooth surface.

getting better tires should make it less noisy but honda's in general do have a pronounced noise level in the cabin, the rdx is actually more on the quite side lol. My other car is a honda prelude and we also had a CRV, barely any sound deadening material in these cars, of course they want to make it light as possible as if they put as much as bmw does the 4 bangers wouldn't move them quick enough.

I agree with Mau108. I also had a 2006 CRV, as well as a 2006 CSX, 2002 RSX, etc... (all hondas) and they do all seem to have a fair amount of road noise but the RDX is a actually not as bad in comparison. I recently drove an 09 csx and it is even louder in the cabin than the RDX.

I'll add my agreements to the others - I drive an Acura Integra, Honda Civic, the RDX, and then many other brands/models of rental cars each week for business travel, and I would have to say that Hondas are generally on the louder side compared to other makes.

I would echo the recommendation of finding better tires (Bridgestone is mentioned elsewhere in this forum) to cut down on the some of the road noise coming in to the cabin (assuming you have the stock Michelin's on right now). Other than that...I am open to suggestions too!
