Need help identifying this part / component on 2008 RDX
2008 RDX Non-Tech
I ran over some debris from an accident that occurred in the oncoming lane and my "check Emissions" light/notification came up on the display.
I checked under that car and there is a plastic cover that has come off and whatever is under it, seems to be cracked and broken. There is a large spring that is also looks inside.
I will be brining the car in on Monday to the shop however I am curious to what I am going to be in for to get this fixed.

Looks like a ELECTRICAL / EXHAUST / HEATER / FUEL/CANISTER for 2008 Acura RDX: CANISTER for 2008 Acura RDX
No clue what it does other than helps make the car go zoom. Most of the parts look inexpensive (excluding labor from the stealership).
