My TURBO plaque fell off!

I went to change my oil today. Thanks Lrbpa300 and everyone else that contributed information to that thread!

But, much to my surprise, when I opened up the hood, I found my i-VTEC / TURBO plate upside down and sitting on the air intake! What gives -- people don't use industrial grade adhesives anymore? I touched the back of the plate and it was barely tacky.

Wondering what I should use to re-attach the thing... Superglue? Double-sided tape? Epoxy?

take it off and leave it in your glove compartment :P

I can't believe acura would be so cheap as to not etch the writing on to that plastic but instead use stickers in a high heat area.

stupidity.

They should of soft riveted it on all corners, IMO...

I did find a solution, 3M high grade double-sided tape. Used by auto repair shops for door trims, etc...

Well, it's not so bad that it's just a sticker, like I've seen on other cars, but it is thin, aluminum sheet metal, a little bit thinner than a credit card.

Thumbs down sticky business

This past summer my Acura badge was melting off my engine plate, I wonder if its still there? Its just growing pains for Acura, they forgot how hot turbo engins can get. The next production model will have something different.

My Turbo plaque fell off too! lol! I just had my dealer reinstall it when I had it in for service, so it will probably come loose again.
