Loud Fuel Pump..?

Ever since I bought my RDX, I have noticed at idle a high pitched whine sound.. almost like a mini vacuum, or a dentist drill. Upon further inspection it seems to be coming from under the drivers side passenger door, which is where the fuel pump is located (I think). The sound does increase or change rhythm with the throttle.

I worked in the services drive at BMW in Orlando for a little while and I do recall many twin turbo 3 series having loud (OEM high pressure) fuel pumps.

is this the case with the RDX also?

I have exact same High Pitched Whine.
My local mechanic said it was Loud Fuel Pump noise as well.
I am going to take it back to DealerShip & see if they want to do anything to it.

Flip up the seat bottom and just one good whack with a hammer beside the top of the pump will quiet it down. They get loud because they come loose and start vibrating.

I'm only kidding man. from the cars I have owned my rdx and my svt mustang had the loudest pumps. even when I put dual pumps in the stang it was still quite loud and from what I have been told and read its just due to a higher flow volume.
