left lower speaker blown

Let me start off by saying that my 2008 awd is a blast to drive! and it sucks gas like a large suv! (15.4 average mpg) I could drive it slow to get better mpg but whats the fun in that??

My left lower speeker is blown and im going to take it in to get fixed, anybody have problems with speakers?

I have the leather bubbling on arm rest and center console but the dealer said " he had only seen it once before...... using the wrong leather cleaner caused the problem" that sounded like bs to me.

let me know if you have the same problems and any advice would be cool

Do a search for both issues here on AZ for more info...These are both issues with my TL. Have had two speakers replaced under warranty as well as the center console. Stomp a foot and demand they replace it!

I had the same problem with my '09 RDX Tech 10 months from new. Dealer replaced it under warranty. The thing is, I never go above 15 on the volume dial. I have read some posts that made mention of the poor quality build. Also, I am currently experiencing some vibration coming out of the front center speaker. I drooped the output a few bars to eliminate the vibration. I forgot to mention poor speaker quality in my reply to the hate/likes thread.

I had a passenger door speaker replaced last year and now both door speakers are blown. And, it sounds like the center speaker is going too. Is there a TSB on this? Thankfully I am still in warranty.

Yep, my 07 RDX/Tech has had numerous speaker replacements... Fortunately all under the warranty- except the last one.... I purchased the last one on-line and I replaced it/installed it under 30 mins... (front/driver-side/lower door speaker)... The fact is that they are Panasonic (yes, I know)... and it is a known issue...

Another chore to my list... I have one a mile long for my diesel, but the list for my RDX is growing slowly too... I've always replaced the factory speakers in every car I've owned. Granted, nothing I've owned would be considered "premium." These speakers don't sound too "premium" to me, though...

I'm guessing you have the non tech package model?

What a pain in the ass...another blown speaker. If I wasn't so cheap I would upgrade all of them

I still have to do this to mine in the front as well. I took the reardoor speakers out the other day and I replaced them with some Aftermarket Coaxial drivers that I had sitting in the back of my closet that were collecting dust.
