illogical cruise control?

Something I found a little off with my 2011 RDX base. Cruise control not very good at gauging how much juice to give it on a hill. Speed will vary by 5 miles per hour, depending on grade, with turbo kicking in and out, resulting in a bit of a jerky ride. Anyone else notice this? My thinking is its unavoidable as there is no torque until the turbo spools up.. But, I am able to get smoother results using my right foot. Honda should work on a software update for the cruise control logic... yeah, I'm nit picking. Hard to find any major drawbacks to this car...
