Hid headlight out but it is the control box

My wife took our 2010 RDX we bought used and had 11000 miles in it. The left hand headlight cover has moisture in it. The dealer said it was the bulb (covered under warranty). They needed to remove the front bumper to in order to take the plastic headlight assembley out and clean the inside. As it turns out the bulb was good but he control box running the lights had water in it. All covered under warranty. Anyone else have this issue? Randy

My 2008 had the same issue. One thing to think of, the replacement headlight doesn't fit perfectly as the old one. I ran my finger and there's about 1 or 2 mm gap between the headlight and bumper. I'm not sure if it was the person who install it or that's how it is when you remove the bumper. This is the reason why I didn’t remove the bumper off my Accord when I install HID. It will never fit the same as the original. Oh well, but the beam pattern was still the same.

we just removed friend's bumper, now there's a gap - very very small but still not the same as "brand new".

Well we got it back after one night in the shop waiting for a new headling assembly to come in. Talking with the tech the issue was the seal on plastic lense was bad allowing the water to get in. Then the moisture cause corosion on the electrical componets. They just replaced the complete unit. Works great. I will look for this gap. Thank for the heads up. Randy
