The fuel filter is located within the fuel tank. You will need to drop the tank to get to it.

I just replaced my fuel pump and there is a filter attached to it. It's not hard to get to thankfully. It's located under the driver's side back seat. Just fold the seat down and peel back the carpet.

Did you do it cuz the fuel pump died, or as a preventative maintenance? I just got a 2011 RDX and I'm trying to go through all maintenance items. When I got to fuel pump and found out it's in the tank, I'm thinking it's likely not meant to be preventative and likely is lifetime of the fuel pump.

It is intended to be a lifetime filter. I'm curious to know who all has replaced their filter, and at what mileage. We have a lot of guys closing in on 200k here, so this may become more common. I'm at 136k myself, and so far my only unscheduled work has been a positive battery terminal (corrosion) and replacement of a few interior bits that didn't wear so well (console cover and driver's armrest).
