Driver's door won't open from outside
The title says it all, the driver's door on my 07 rdx won't open from the outside. The handle pulls, but nothing happens. If I slither in the car and grab the inside handle, it opens the door latch with no problem. I'm sure a service call is due, but since it's Saturday and they won't open until Monday I thought maybe somebody had an idea or had experienced this same issue before. Any suggestions? Thanks

never experienced that before, I did have an issue when my 2 way compustar system was installed on the prelude where I couldn't open the door from inside, the installer didn't put the latch inside back on the rod that pulls another rod that opens the door.
It would probably require removing the door panel to get to the rod that connects to the door handle.
Better have the dealer look at it. i don't think its a common problem thoe.

When the outer handle is pulled it operates a rod (imaginatively called the "outer handle rod") which actuates the door latch about 12" below.
The metal outer handle rod is fastened to the outer handle by a plastic clip which snaps over the rod. If the plastic clip is broken or just unsnapped, the rod can work loose and there is no connection to the latch. So when you pull the handle, you won't hear or feel any mechanical action.
The rod however, may be flopping around in there. Open the door and then swing it back and forth quickly. If the rod is loose you should hear it moving around, and that would confirm it.
The dealer will have to remove the inner door liner and water seal to get to the rod clip. The clip may simply need snapped back on, but it may be a better bet to replace it. The clip appears to be nylon which weakens with repeated use.
