Door Locks.

As all RDX, use key fob to unlock car. Get in car, start up and begin driving. doors will lock.

Mine when you stop anytime, and begin to drive again the doors locks will lock. They dont unlock when stopped, but when u begin to drive again they activate again. They unlock when car is placed in park.

When exit car, lock doors with key fob. Doors lock, lights wont flash nor will the car "beep" when you press twice.

Anyone with similar issues or have had the problem resolved?

I did have a bad actuator replaced 2 months ago.

Check out this link for all the M.I.D. setup. Steps 6, 7 & 8 control the door lock/unlock conditions (shift from P, with vehicle speed, etc...). I have mine set to unlock all doors with fob, lock all doors when shift from "P", and unlock all door when shift into "P". The pdf link is from a 2009 RDX, it should work for the 07-12 model:

2nd

should be pretty straight forward, use the buttons on the bottom right of your steering wheel to control the little screen in between the MPH & RPM gauges.

Its all good. you guys never read what I wrote properly. Its got nothing to do with the MID setup. Thats only for when you put the car in park or start the car. It has NOTHING to do with driving the car. Driving is when the problems occur.

Looks to me like they answered your question 100%.

How about you take the advice you were given, and reprogram your settings.

What's the worst that could happen? It doesn't fix your problem? Seriously, change your settings. Nothing is wrong.

So when Im in stop and go traffic, like I am daily, resetting is going to solve my problem? It never use to lock 300 plus times a day in traffic.

I agree, sounds a bit odd... But, programing the setting MIGHT JUST fix it!

NOW DO IT! lol

I'm sorry we misunderstood your explanation of the problem you are having. It really sounds like just a M.I.D. programming selection for auto door locks and keyless lock acknowledgement. It doesn't hurt to double-check. The Acura techs might have changed the settings to check full functionality when they replace the door actuator.

from the weblink above:
************************************************** ***
STEP 7
Auto Door Lock Select when the doors automatically lock.

SHIFT FROM "P" The doors will lock when shift lever is moved out of Park (P)

WITH VEHICLE SPEED THE DOORS WILL LOCK WHEN VEHICLE SPEED REACHES 10 mph (approximately) Sounds like your setting

OFF Auto door lock function is deactivated all of the time
************************************************** ***
STEP 8
Auto Door Unlock Select when the doors automatically unlock.

SHIFT TO "P" DRIVER DOOR DRIVER DOOR UNLOCKS WHEN SHIFT LEVER IS MOVED INTO PARK (P)

SHIFT TO "P" ALL DOORS All doors unlock when shift lever is moved into PARK (P) Sounds like your setting

IGN OFF DRIVER DOOR Driver door unlocks when ignition switch is turned off

IGN OFF ALL DOORS All doors unlock when ignition switch is turned off

OFF/DEACTIVATED Auto door unlock function is deactivated
************************************************** ***
STEP 9
Keyless Lock Acknowledgement ___ON ___OFF

The exterior lights flash each time you press the LOCK or UNLOCK button. A beep will also sound when you press the LOCK button twice.

Your setting may be set to OFF
************************************************** ***

I see the op's point.

Try hard re-booting everything. Pull the positive cable off the battery for 5 min.

Tried everything you guys mentioned and no change.

-unlock doors with fob, all markers flash (normal)
-lock doors with fob, No markers flash, and No beep.
-start car, put into drive, accelerate, doors lock (normal)
-stop at stop sign, continue to drive, doors actuate
-stop in traffic, accelerate, doors actuate
-slow to a crawl, and speed up again, doors actuate.

Went through MID, all is way it should be, disconnected Negative terminal for 10 min, reconnected, NO change
Im at a total loss and frustration with this car. I have had SOOOO many issues with it. At least my local dealership looks after me very well, although its been 3 years since I bought it and probably once a month something needs repaired..lol.

Our vert has a body control module. I don't know if RDX has one, but that may be the problem. You tried the re-boot, sounds like dealer time.

Can these setting be customized on the base RDX? On the upper top right of the pdf it sounds like it can be done on a base, but it does not have the MID. Thats the only instructions it gives is doing it via MID.

Well the issue lasted almost a month and then resolved itself. Two days ago it started to happen all over again. Took it to the dealer instantly and lucky for me they had a courtesy car so they could research my issue. Low and behold, the rear passenger door and the hatch lock are on the same relay. The relay failed and was causing the issue. The car actually had a code. I was shocked by that and mentioned that I used a code reader on it and found nothing. They just laughed and said there reader will find everything. i left it at that, and car was repaired.
