Hello,

I am the owner of a 2009 RDX. Do all of you experience the following, or should I be making warranty claims?

1. The key fob seems to rely heavily on line-of-sight. I also need to be within about 15 feet of the vehicle before the buttons on the remote work to lock or unlock the car. Do you have the same experience?
2. The rear lower quarter panels on both sides of the car (on the exterior, essentially connected to the rear bumper, between the rear wheel and the muffler) easily collect dust/dirt and are very hard to wash off (i.e. require a lot of scrubbing), unlike the entire rest of the vehicle. Do your RDX's have the same sort of issue?

I don't have any problem with the key, but I live in the suburbs where there usually plenty of line of sight.

I have the mud guards (cheap and easy to install). They keep the area behind the wheels pretty clean. A layer of wax should make cleaning easier.

 

Awesome, thanks for letting me know! I think the stains in the rear have gone away, so perhaps it was the undercoating coming off...
