I used these exact instructions years ago and they were great. Now I have to use 'em again but there are no pics. Do you still have them 737 Jock?

Where are you guys buying your oem leather replacements for the center console lid? I looked up the part # for my 2007 RDX with Taupe interior and they want over $200 for the part . I also tried buying one off of eBay and the color match wasn't even close. Is my only option to go to an upholstery shop to get it replaced?

Instead of an OEM vinyl cover that's just going to degrade again in a few years I had a local upholstery shop color-match and install a real leather armrest. They charged me $120 all-in.

That's not to terrible. There's a shop near by my house, I'll have to give them a try. Also need to have the elbow rest on the door done too.

I've also had both front doors done. I think they were a bit more due to extra labor of removing door panels and what not. I want to say it was a little under 300 for the pair.

Nice to see people have found a good replacement. Mine is tearing too. Anyone have any advice for replacing the padding underneath the leather? It's beat flat where my elbow lays.

Also the door's vinyl/leather trim is bubbling. Anyone have any recommendations other than "buy a replacement using google?"

I used a vehicle upholstery shop to replace the console leather as well as the doors. They should have no issues adding some padding while doing the replacement, if you choose to go that route. They charged me about $100 per piece (so $300 total for both front doors and the console). Had them replace with real leather as well, rather than the original vinyl.

With that said, I still think you should get Google involved to at least review local shops and pick a reputable one.

I would just go to a body shop and have them order you an aftermarket replacement arm rest for the doors and center console. It was way cheaper than the dealerships labor and parts. That’s what I did to fix my issues with the fake leather peeling away.
