Brake system light
Brake system light
We have an RDX in the family now, and after 6 months and 2,700 miles which isn't alot we have had a ton of problems with the brake system light coming on. The dealer has replaced several parts to try and fix this problem, it seems to work for a while then the system light seems to come back on. Anyone else with this problem? Also to note this is about the 4th time now.

If it goes on again this will be the last payment I make on the car cuz I'm going to trade it in or lemon law it...

I would think it's a vacuum problem, possibly with the electric pump.Hopefully they fixed it.

Well I think they did the computer service upgrade, my problem is something else. they have been a good dealer so far no real problems, at times they are a little pissy about giving out loaners.
I experienced the same thing as you. Dealer reflashed the software and the problem persisted. For some reason they decided to run some test on the MAP sensor. They found irregular readings and decided to repalce it. Strangely enough by replacing the MAP they fixed the Brake System Light Problem.
I'm going to look for the service records to see if they listed somekind of code or something that might help.

Well i picked up the car Monday after work, only to take it back Tuesday afternoon with the Brake system light on again! When i got it back Monday they told me they replaced the other check valves. They also put over 300 miles on it while they had it! well its now Friday and I picked it up again after work this time they replaced the computer system. lets see how it goes. Even so I'm going to lemon law it, they have just riped it apart too much for me. it also only has 3500 miles on it and its 6 months old. Thats too much work to have done on a car so new.
