Air Conditioning Issue

Anyone else experiencing issues with their air conditioning. Wife calls me today telling me it is cooler to have the windows open rather than the A/C on. Keep in mind today in metro Detroit it is over 90 degrees. I made an appointment at the dealership tomorrow.

Just wondering if anyone else has had any issues with their A/C.

Thanks.

First time poster. Kinda cool site. I will update for my TL and my wife's RDX soon.

My A/C doesn't seem to work too well. The air is cold, but the fan doesn't seem to blow at the appropriate speed. I will probably get mine checked at the first oil change.

You probably already know this but...to get faster fan speed when it's really hot, press "Auto" and then increase fan speed manually. The "auto" fan setting is variable but it never runs at max in my RDX.

What do you folks set your A/C temp at? In my GMC Yukon (Best A/C ever), I set at 72. In the RDX, I have to keep it at 68 to get enough fan speed.

We also picked up a new Accord this weekend for my sister (which I have been driving all week) and it works just fine being set at 70 degrees.

Maybe I will have to manually adjust the fan in the RDX to keep myself comfortable, but it seems to defeat the purpose of "Auto."

I just got my 08 RDX yesterday and was thinking the AC wasn't working all that well and I just realized on my way home that my state inspection sticker is directly over the sunlight sensor. Remember the AC on the RDX is solar sensing or something like that where the fan speed up if it senses the direct sunlight....however, since my sensor is effectively covered, the fan stays lower all the time. I verified this by parking the car in a way where the sun shined behind the sticker and onto the sensor and the fan sped up almost immediately and started blowing hard.

Needless to say I'll be taking mine back to the deal for them to move the sticker!
