'07 RDX Sound System Issues

I have a '07 RDX with technology package. Today when I went to drive home from work, I couldn't get the sound system to play the aux input. My first thought was the cord was loose, but wiggling it around and unplugging/plugging it did nothing. I then tried to hear anything from the CD and AM/FM/XM but no luck either. My second thought was the Hands Free Link was interfering but I unconnected my phone and there was no difference.

Has anyone seen this before?

I've also been searching for answers on my 2007 RDX tech package problem. My problem is that when the car is started, the radio, cd, aux as well as am/fm will be extremely "staticy". The computer voice ("fasten your seatbelt") also is staticy. Almost sounds like a computer speaker that has a bad aux cable. The only way I can fix this is to turn the car off and back on. Sometimes up to five times. Hate to admit that I've put the car in neutral, turned off and on when on a straight road and shifted back into drive. Have no idea why this happens - not sure if it's the unit or an electrical problem. Any advice out there?

Really?

Turning off the car (which locks the steering wheel) while driving is one of the most stupid acts you can do behind the wheel.

"I have to admit" that is plain foolish. Pull over.

Doesn't turning the car off save gas mileage? Just kidding, don't shoot me. Tuesday morning here.

Lol good ones by all. Did get a suggestion that it could be the amp. I'm going to see if a car audio car store can check it.

Have a similar problem. The sound is almost unrecognizable when it is cold outside, but gets better when the car warms up. The dealer wanted to replace the "Amplifier" for a cool $900. Yeah right!!
