07 RDX brake vibration
I have a 2007 RDX with 23000 miles on it. About 5-6k miles ago I noticed a vibration in the brakes, but assumed it was cause the car had sat for 1-2 months. Well I finally took it in and was told by service consultant the rotors needed to be resurfaced, the warranty on brakes is 12months 12k miles, and I'd have to pay $159 for the repair. I told him if the rotors need to be cut after 23k, and the pads are not worn, then I consider them a defective and to replace the rotors for me under warranty.
After calling Acura they were told to do the rotor resurfacing as a warranty/goodwill item. I wasn't that happy but gave them the benefit of the doubt
. Well on the way home guess what, same problem. I called the service consultant back and he apologetically and quickly said they will replace the rotors when other parts on order arrive and I bring the car back in.
Good news is the dealer is very nice, and they are gong to fix it. But I am worried that if it is an issue with the parts quality, I'll be back in another 23k miles and then what
?
Has anyone had a similar issue /experience with thier brakes "going" so soon?

actually i just came back from my 3rd service in 12 months (yes, 3rd!! and only at 20,000 kms) and now notice the same brake vibration. it is more prominent when i am braking downhill. i will bring it in for the dealer to check soon.
Interesting - I just starting getting that vibration...right around 23,000 miles. Must be a rotor problem(?). Figured I'd wait till my next oil change to get it done - will let you all know what the dealer says...usually get very good service from my dealer.
After a cut of the front rotors, same problem. Tech's had "trouble" recreatin the problem but after some "disussion" the service manager was able to reproduce.
They explained the rotors were within .002" of being true bt acura would replace the rotors.
Now funny thing is they seem fin ebut once in a while I still "hear" a worbeling sound, as if there is some vibration when braking mildly. Happens both when the brakes are cold, and when they are warm/hot too.
ANyone out there have a similar situation. I'm going to go back and take the manager for a ride with em to demonstrate this to him directly...
