They look very tempting for me also for the wifey RDX. Should you also:

- change to a different brake fluid? What type is recommended?
- keep the ceramic pads or go for something else?
- upgrade the brake lines or OEM is fine?

I think S/S brake line would work a lot better than the oem.
OEM is the rubber hose lines correct?

most cars have OEM rubber brake lines.
it would be too expensive to produce SS lines on mass produced vehicles like the RDX

SS lines are much better. If you can, do it all.

You are correct. the bite will not get mushy the longer you hold the pedal to the floor. Intital bite will be fantastic.
How much does thedealer want for replacing the brake pads/rotors?

If you go DIY:
For the time you'll be sitting on your butt cranking on this, I'd recommend slotted rotors and ceramic pads first then if you want more positive brake bite go with SS braided lines-- they can be added at anytime. But braided lines aren't necessary, also they can be made at special request(not necessarily in bulk) and there is nothing too special about the fabrication. But FWIW those fab'ed lines will not carry a DOT approval, but... If they can cross-reference based on measurements, you'd be able to get DOT rated Brake-lines form the likes of Stoptech, Agency Power, Rotora, Neuspeed, etc.

Ceramic is low dust, and a ceramic mix is kinda popular as well. EBC red stuff is a place to start, but you don't have to pick those, and most people like Hawk or Axxis brand for street.

Resurface or replace rotors? I'd lean toward replace if you have a grove in the braking surface that will catch your nail. A dealerships have a more "scientific" approach; and that involves usinga measuring caliper, feeler guages, and a "school room ruler", lol. As far as rotors go I have yet to see a slotted/drilled rotor or a slotted/dimpled rotor with OEM calipers brake better on a cars than a Slotted only(barring full race BBK's). Cryo-hardening is a sound idea but if it cost more than $5 extra, I'd skip it.

I am gonna have say it's your money, do a little looking around.
