Did you not test drive it before you bought it? The RDX is basically the sportiest/best handling CUV out there hence the stiff ride. If you wanted a softer ride you should have gone elsewhere. Most of us love the sporty drivability of the RDX and the stiff ride is a small sacrifice for the smiles it puts on our face when ripping through the twisties! The RDX with SH-AWD is just a sweet awesome feeling ride going into corners.

I've heard the new MDX rides better after being driven a few thousand miles. Broken in, basically. Maybe that's the case with the RDX too?

You get used to it

I thought the same thing since I have an '07 with the even stiffer ride, but after a while you do actually get used to it. Now when I drive any other car I get a little insecure when I take a curve. Put a cushion on your seat.

I'm uncomfortable in a smooth riding, floaty car. Floaty means "barely under control".

The only time I think about it is when I read these threads--and I have a 2007, too. Part of the blame lies with the crap OEM tires. I think they are overly stiff for low rolling resistance to eke out another .1 mpg, which matters more to Honda for CAFE than to its customers. Pretty much everyone here (myself included) comments that their ride improved when they put new tires on no matter which ones they chose.

Highly doubt it. It's just a placebo effect. One gets used to their ride and then it becomes the norm. I SO much appreciate the sporty ride of the RDX after riding in or driving something else. Pretty much everything else feels sloppy to the tight sprung RDX.

funny i actually thought the ride was a bit soft for my liking i guess cause of the thick amount of rubber on the wheels. you should have bought a Toyota or lexus if u wanted a better ride. Soft suspensions are crap and make the car unresponsive and hard to control in highway speeds or cornering.

i will say that changing the tires did somewhat offer a 'smoother' feel - as far as the stiffness or unrefined suspension; that has not changed one bit - the cabin intrusions from bumps, whether minor or major, still happens, but the ride itself is basically just less nervous, but i wouldnt go as far to say as smoother or reducing stiffness, its just more compliant maybe - but minor road imperfections have not changed much
