Thumbs up Reflashed with my Flash Pro

Reflashed my RDX yesterday with the stock performance tune. All I can say is WOW>

I was amazed at how it smoothed out the power band and virtually eliminated the initial boost lag from 1500 to 3000 rpm. Pulls strong all the way up to red line! I have yet to play in S mode but I assume it can only be better.

I would consider this a must for any RDX owner. I wish I did this 50K ago when we first got it for my then GF!

I will be running it like this till it gets a tad warmer around here (7 degrees out on the way to work).. then to install the CP-E and the ETS!
Once that is done I will flash it with the K&N short ram tune.

Question: with my mods and if I add the ATLP exhaust will I be at the max duty cycle of the 450 injectors? DW 600's the next logical step?

With the stock 410cc injectors you might be pushing the injector's limits.

I see.. once I get the parts on should I data log it for some time. Will this display duty cycle in % so i can see if I am maxing it out?

How is your viti viper tune going Ken? I may look to them for a final tune.

Yes, with laptop on deck you should be able to view it.

600cc injectors will give you plenty of breathing room

Yes, just hit datalog.

What is the price difference with the 600cc and 800cc?

You don't have to follow those calibrations. You can get a combination of things you think will best fit you.

However, now I think heeltoe sells them now.

I see.. I would not want to splice either.
But don't these do the same thing minus the longer wire?
One side connects to the injector, the other to your factory injector plug?
Let me know what your boys at DW say Ken..

No, it doesn't fit our car. It fit every other K-series but ours. That's why I had Rywire make those initially.

I'll let you know about the injectors, how many miles do you have on the car?

DW600cc-329.00
DW800cc-369.00

65c Fuel pump- 149.00

Check on the shipping I might can ship it cheaper.

The fuel pump is a direct replacement of our stock pump.

You can, but I would just keep it simple until you are ready to go crazy as far as tuning goes.

honestly you want to stick with what has been proven to work the DW with the rywire setup works its quick and easy to install and DW injectors are pretty solid

sometimes its best not to skimp on things just because of price.. ive learned that the hard way with my DC sports exhaust on my tsx.. thinking it was a good brand and come to find out it falls apart after 2 years ( im still bitter about it after 7 years)

I see.. cool! Those are the prices online too. I will check on shipping.

DO you for the extra $40 I should run the 800cc?

If I go with the 600cc injectors will the stock fuel pump suffice?

Blue I totally agree. I was not looking at price.. just options of other injectors in the industry.

Yeah, it's up to you. I'm sure the stock fuel pump will be ok, just letting you know your options.

If you only want 600cc, just pick up evo x injectors. They're 650cc. Just need clips for them. That's what I'm doing for now. I got mine for 80 shipped.

If it helps...600cc injectors and stock fuel pump will be enough for anything the stock turbo can provide. BUT, if you think you may modify the stocker (like our boy Ken), or even replace it entirely (1 or 2 guys are planning this I think, but names evade me), you may as well spend a bit more and future-proof.

Question for those of you that are tuning...I have the basic re-flash that comes with the Flashpro, but it doesn't seem to have done anything for that initial lag. I can't believe the lag is THAT bad considering how quickly the engine responds at 3500+ rpm. I'm guessing it's tied more to the variable inlet than the turbo itself, as it doesn't even seem to be a smooth build but rather like someone just opened the throttle from 50 to 100...or am I wrong and it's normal lag magnified by a giant 1st gear?

My previous car with a bigger turbo and a smaller engine didn't suffer from this, but it did have shorter gearing. And a stick. Sometimes I miss having a stick...story for another time though.

It is.. but after speaking with OP looks like you have to cut and splice, which is not what I want to do.
I have always heard good things about the DW's and my bro loved them on his subie.. so that is the route I will go.

For conversation..Ken do you think they will make a harness at the place you went? Mitsubishi injector ->Honda Harness...

I know exactly what you are talking about with the lag.. almost like it had no boost till 3K then spiked to 7PSI!>

My RDX responded beautifully to the flash..this was eliminated entirely. Almost like a different car.. felt fresh and crisp/

Smooth power delivery until she hits about 5K then goes hyper!

How many miles on your RDX Tom?

Yes, just call them up (Rywire) and let them know what you are trying to accomplish.

I'm pretty sure the plugs for the evo x injectors are ev14. the same that come with id2000s. My friends shop has a set. Injectors are supposed to come in today. Not sure when I'll get them in. Probably just wait til we make the downpipe.

There is some lag with the turbo out of first. Could be the gearing. What else do you have done?

You could just do the E-tune and when you get more stuff get another tune.

Interesting. That stinks that you did not fell the low end benefit even with lower miles.
Maybe as mine has a tad higher miles.. 102 it was more noticeable for me.. but like I said.. my boost lag from 1.5-3.5K is all but gone.. no more stumble as the tach climes.. linear power throughout the curve.

What are "go-fast goodies" are you thinking?
