...Title says it.
I'm not willing to send my key and ECU off for more than a month for the Hondata reflash. But, I would like to see if anyone has used this and share their experience if possible. Thanks.

Only ECU needs to be sent off for the 1G RDX. Not sure what turnaround time is during COVID, but pre COVID turnaround time was only a week or so directly from Hondata. This was August 2018. The easier and quicker way is to go through a dealer. Certain dealers can do the flash for you right at their shop. Or you can just get the FlashPro and do it yourself. If you plan on doing other mods, just save up and get the FlashPro.

To my knowledge, KTuner doesn’t offer a reflash for the 1G, just the 3G. I do know that Derek at IMW Tuned has tuned at least one 1G with KTunerFlash, but I don’t think it supports speed density tuning and at that price, you might as well get FlashPro, which does support speed density tuning.

Derek at IMW tuned mine w/ Ktuner. Check out my thread to see the dyno sheet. Worked out for me.

I am in the Orlando, Florida area and there is a guy that does Hondata Reflash for $300 and I would be happy with what even the reflash does for power. Reflash your 2007-2011 RDX engine computer.

• Rev limiter raised to 7200 rpm (sportshift mode only)
• 10-20 Hp gain everywhere - 26 Hp at peak.
• 33 ft lb torque at 3300 rpm

has anyone else done just the reflash on a stock rdx with no exhaust or intake? what are your thoughts? worth it?

I’m a non-techie owner and have used the KTuner for the past few years. Runs smooth with OTS tune they provide. I increased the throttle sensitivity last time I updated and am very happy with it.
