I decided to try and fix the wooshing noise from the intake. I thought maybe extending it toward the front of the car would help. So I went to autozone and picked up a Spectre bendy intake tube and went to the hardware store and picked up a connecting pipe. After doing that i took it for a test drive. Not only does it make the intake quieter, it makes the engine sound a lot better. I accelerated in a small tunnel and actually had a little tunnel blasting experience. It also seemed to help the performance.

 

I will post pics of it this tomorrow or later this weekend.

 

That sound is annoying! I actually just reinstalled my OEM intake / airbox for that reason. I tend to go back and forth every few months.
