Does anyone have any pictures of the front window tinted? What brand of tint would best match the oem tint?

 

I have 28% on my fronts now, which seem lighter than the rears. This was after having 20% then taken off. The 20% IMO was darker and made it too difficult to see out the windows at night. Also, from the interior it appears much darker than when when looking out the rear and back windows.

The 28% seems alot closer in match from the inside, but from the out side, it depends on the angle.

I would try maybe 25-22% tint. Couldnt tell you which brand or type of tint. Maybe other here have had better luck.

I thought the front windows come with factory tint?

 

i heard that its illegal to tint your front window here in Chicago but i see some other cars tinted their front window, is there any kind of permit that they get so you'll be excempted for this rule? Im thinking about doctors writting or recomendation that you are prone to skin cancer so you need to tint you car.

How much did they charge you to do your two front windows?

(or was this a DIY?)

In Ohio they only allow 50% on the fronts...is that even worth it?

I might just do the 35% and see if I can get away with that if you think 50% is worthless and will look dumb!

 

The state of MD allows 35% on front side windows, so I'm going to get that. How much should I pay for just the front 2 windows? I figure it should be under $100, with the best quality UV filtering film possible. Also does anyone know a reputable tint shop in the Baltimore area?

I place in Cleveland told me $45 a window. So $90 for the front two.

I thought it would be more like 50-75...but this is a good place using good quality tint.

 

got mine done - 20%, its dark, but ill leave the sunroof open for more light in the car now - problem is 35% would be too light and really stick out

 

the stock windows are darker than a few other suv's on the road, at least on appearance....comparing to a few suvs at the office...the RDX looks to be the darkest, but it could also be the black interior helping that out...the 20% is certainly darker on the inside, but its an extremely close match outside

 

80-100 is more common for 2 windows w/quality tint & shop, at least these days...last time i did tint, i did my whole coupe for 140
