Question Sprint Booster

Found this item (p/n SBAC1002) at Excelerate Performance e-store and started learning the possible opinions on this matter. Mostly they're controversial. Some ppl like it and some consider it scam.

The Sprint Booster is an aftermarket electronic module that plugs in between the accelerator pedal and the engine control unit (ECU) in vehicles equipped with an electronic throttle control (aka Drive By Wire). Sprint Booster is an application-specific hardware based product designed specifically for your car.

This device is engineered to improve throttle response on drive-by-wire cars by continuously measuring and converting the digital signal providing the ECM (Electronic Control Module) with a new and altered signal. Many modern vehicles utilize electronic throttle control and more vehicles are going that way, especially performance and sports cars.
I'd have purchased it in case it's price would be less than 100$, but it's too pricy (>300$).

Any ideas guys?

factory parts are expensive!

Throttle body = TB
If the aftermarket part cooks the drive by wire TB it could be a lot more expensive than 300 for the aftermarket throttle enhancer.

import tunner did a write up on a very similar product and it did work. but this is one of those things that if its not "plug and play" the factory will know. because the harnes has been cut and spliced. also dont forget that this dosent increse horse power. just makes the vehicle feel more responsive.

for three hundred bucks i would go buy some 3" intercooler piping and make a custom coold air intake for the rdx one that goes into the hole infront of the driver side tire behind the bumper cover.

oh hey thats why i got two intakes worth of pipe 3 months ago! i would rather spend money on things that are proven to give a return thats all. 200.00 for a universal kit off flebay kinda hard to beat already have a tig welder at the house. this is just my opinion either you agree or ya dont.

Thanks for Your opinion. You're right. This stuff does not seem to be worth 300$ spent, but making my vehicle more responsive is just what I need with RDX.

Installing CAI on RDX is not really great idea. I'd prefer 3" catless exhaust + custom reflash.
